Annual international conference "Reciprocating compressor packages" 2019

Moscow IV International Conference "Reciprocating compressors packages" 2019 has finished. It gathered uncommon amount of participants – 170 people from seven countries: Russia, Belarus, Great Brittan, Kazakhstan, China USA and Uzbekistan. There were representatives of equipment manufacturers, oil and gas companies, service companies, project institutes, packagers, professors and students of universities.

The event, as always, became possible with support of general sponsor – Ariel Corporation, leading world-class compressor manufacturer; golden sponsor – INNIO, the youngest power generation company in the world with two powerful brands Jenbacher and Waukesha; silver sponsor – "Engineering center "Energoservice"; bronze sponsors Kerui, LLC NPO "Clean Energy" and Shell corporation.

Among invited participants there were employees and managers of such large companies as OAC Gazprom, LLC Kurgankhimmash, LLC RN-Vankor, LLC Engineering center "Energoservice", AC UEC Gas Turbines, PAC Lukoil, PAC Novatek, TLC Jakmunay, AC West Siberian oil and gas company, LLC Irkutsk oil company, LLC Gazpromneft-Vostok, LLC Exterran Vostok, LLC NGTS, Wood Group, Quorex, Hoerbiger and others.

Main subjects of presentations were about actual problems of creating and operating equipment. Interesting agenda combined presentations if international specialists such as tech service director Dave McCoy, as well as presentations of Russian professionals such as department director of Energoservice Andrey Sternin.

Andrey Sternin`s presentation was supported by CGI which allowed the audience to see all stages of creation required conditions for compressor equipment operation and operating personal in Siberian climate.

Big interest was generated by gas engines manufacturer presentations Waukesha of INNIO company, where they presented new development and operation experience with high BTU gases which significantly impact engine operation. As noted last year, company significantly excelled in equipment sales and created necessary technical support. The conference just confirmed increased interest and gave an opportunity to present in detail capabilities and company achievements and to tell in more details about relevance of equipment to interested conference participants of oil and gas industry, to ask questions directly and have a conversation with Waukesha representatives.

Chinese company Kerui presented their wide range of activities in Russia, which confidently stated about themselves in Russian market of equipment manufacturers for oil and gas industry.

In general, the conference gave an impulse to compressor packages manufacturing technologies by highlighting the most critical tasks and by suggesting solutions. It was a friendly and professional environment and conference finished by rewarding speakers with memorable souvenirs.

As was mentioned by INNIO representative Ivan Saprykin, the main difference of the conference aboup reciprocating packages from other similar events is relevancy of discussed subjects, high professional level of presentations and discussions and of course excellent organization.

The head of the Russian representative of Ariel Corporation Igor Legun concluded this fruitful two-day marathon of presentations and round tables. He shared with colleagues plans for enlarging the boarders of the conference, invitation of component equipment manufacturers, project institutes and coverage of wider specter of the whole system problematics, which affects reliability of the compressor station in general.

The Conference will gather under one roof specialists, experts and end-users of oil and gas industry, who work with reciprocating compressors packaging. This year main subject of discussion will be problems in equipment operation. Also it`s been decided to keep round table format of discussions and long coffee-breaks to let colleagues to discuss any urgent questions.

Leading specialists of Russian and CIS oil and gas industry will discuss general problems; introduce new projects and available solutions.
