The time is up for the third annual international conference 'Reciprocating compressor packages. From contemporary design to reliable operation'. Two sessions were held at Moscow Marriot Grand Hotel – one for Caterpillar Oil&Gas on May 22, the other for Ariel International Corporation on May 23-24.
Speakers and participants came from seven countries, representing over 70 enterprises and organizations. Among them, there were manufacturers, design agencies, packagers, servicers, research entities, and vendors.
This year, Cat и Ariel Corporation, as the primary conference sponsors, focused on the most critical points of interest expressed by compressor professionals at the previous conference. To address these topics, they invited speakers not only from Russia and CIS countries, but also international experts in technical support, maintenance and packaging services. To listen to world recognized experts in gas compression, like the Chief Engineer at Ken Hall with his reports on 'Effects of sulphur content in fuel gas on motor operation' and 'Ambient temperature effects on motor power', has evidently made the agenda more substantial.
Ariel session was marked by the report on packager standards made by Technical Service Director for Ariel Corporation, David McCoy, and speeches by other industry professionals.
Due to an overwhelming number of questions from the floor, some of them were pushed aside to be addressed at separate round tables. Reports also initiated a lot of brisk discussions among the audience and on the sidelines, during the coffee and lunch breaks.
The Association of Innovative Enterprises in power industry made its presentation within the framework of the Conference. Mikhail Smirnov, President of the Association, has stressed that public expertise and support of the governmental policy by expert scientific and business communities is of crucial significance for the setup and deployment of an effective national system underlying a streamlined implementation of innovations in the power generation industry and fuel and energy sector.

Professors and post-graduates from Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas, Bauman Moscow State Technical University, Tomsk Polytechnic University, and Mechanical Engineering Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences were active participants in the Conference.

A presentation of the book digest 'Ariel, a Great American Company', which reveals the history of Ariel corporation, was made during the Conference. The brochure was written and translated by Bogdan Smereka.

Gas and oil industry professionals are meeting at the Conference in Moscow
The Third Annual International Conference 'Reciprocating compressor packages. From contemporary design to reliable operation' will be held by Gas. Oil. Package International Club (G.O.P.) on May 22-24, 2018 at Moscow Marriot Grand Hotel.
This Conference is a unique communication platform in Russia that brings together oil and gas professionals, experts and consumers dealing in compressor packaging.
